The Power of Bee Venom

The Transparent Clinic Bee Venom cream acts directly on the facial muscles producing an immediate lifting effect, smoothing and firming the skin. Diminishing fine lines and wrinkles, providing an exceptional regenerating and repairing effect to the skin.

Bee venom is extremely good at increasing blood flow in the skin. This improves circulation and brings more nutrients and oxygen to the cells which encourage cell regeneration. The surge of blood flow will stimulate collagen and elastin, the building blocks of our skin, to increase firmness over time. The subsequent production of collagen and elastin prevents the signs of ageing.

Bee Venom acts as a barrier against free radicals and relaxes facial muscle contractions leaving the skin firmer. It is especially beneficial to anyone who is going through the menopause and may notice deep wrinkles, puffiness and dryness of the skin which are just some of the symptoms brought on by hormone changes during this time of life.  During the menopause, levels of the female hormones oestrogen and progesterone drop rapidly leading to accelerated skin ageing.

Bee Venom (apitoxin) will also provide an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial function. It also prevents and treats acne, acting directly on Propionibacterium acnes bacteria linked to this skin condition, and has a great ability to regenerate damaged cells.

How does it work?  Well, the Bee Venom ‘tricks’ the skin into thinking it has been lightly stung with the toxin melittin.  This is the principal active component of apitoxin.  The effect causes the body to direct blood flow towards the area and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.

Does it harm the bee? Most people ‘bee-lieve’ (pardon the pun!) that once the bee has ‘stung’ that it then dies, however the bee only dies when the lance (stinger) detaches from the body.   Modern methods ensure the Bee Venom is collected without harming the bee.
